Blurb:

Twenty years ago, the robots designed to fight our wars abandoned the battlefields. Then they turned their weapons on us.

Only a few escaped the robot revolution of 2071. Kevin, Nick, and Cass are lucky-they live with their parents in a secret human community in the woods. Then their village is detected and wiped out. Hopeful that other survivors have been captured by bots, the teens risk everything to save the only people they have left in the world-by infiltrating a city controlled by their greatest enemies.

Revolution 19 in a cinematic thriller unlike anything else. With a dynamic cast of characters, this surefire blockbuster has everything teen readers want-action, drama, mystery, and romance. Written by debut novelist Gregg Rosenblum, this gripping story shouldn't be missed.

My Review:
**2.5 Stars**

MY OVERVIEW: Ok, well I wasn't sure how I was going to rate this. There are a LOT of problems I had with this book. First of all, Revolution 19 is about a robot take-over. However, the robots are reminiscent of the 80's. Big and boxy. Or, at least the militant ones are. There are the spheres that float around (drones/scouts), and very, very few humanoid looking ones. Now, the big boxy ones are the ones that took over. How the other ones were created, it isn't explained. I just don't see 80's style robots taking over the planet.

PROS: The story kept my interest. It was a very quick read, and I was done within a few hours. The book ended to where, even though I was not a fan, I will probably be reading the next one (if there is one).

CONS: In addition to the robot problems, there was the issue of the characters. None of the characters were developed well. None of them are relatable, or really have a solidified range of emotion. They were pretty flat. At points where it seemed like emotions were really going to come through, it just fell short.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall, I am not a fan of the book. However, if a sequel does come out, I will probably read it. However, it will be low on my list of priorities.
